We have been so busy that we decided to hang out at home today, just the 3 of us. When Mommy and Daddy told Mallory it was July 4th, she said, like she does all the time, “What does that mean?” We explained to her that it was our country’s birthday. She said, “Well, we need to make a birthday cake!” Mommy thought that was so cute, so we went to the store to pick up our ingredients…Mallory chose a white, confetti cake…
Mallory loves to help in the kitchen…
What do we do next? Mix it up…
This is BEST part about making a cake…
Looks yummy…got to put it in the oven…
The hardest thing about baking a cake is waiting for it to be done! So, we did some July 4th activities while we waited…
Mallory made an American Flag…
Daddy helped Mallory do the white stars and showed her how he used to do tissue paper art back in the day…
Mallory’s turn to do the pen trick…
This BEST part about icing a cake!
Sprinkles, Sprinkles, Sprinkles…
SO PROUD and showing Daddy…
Time to eat it up!
Yummy for my Tummy!
Even Daisy got it the 4th of July spirit…thanks to Mimi (aka Granddad’s Mimi as Mallory would say)
Mallory LOVES fireworks, so we thought we could make some to get ready for tonight!
COOL! Now we are ready for the real fireworks celebration tonight!
