Mallory had her very first dance recital tonight. She looked absolutely beautiful, and she did a fantastic job. Mommy enjoyed so much getting her all dressed up…Mommy even did her hair and make-up. A few days before the recital, Mommy practiced doing Mallory’s hair. Mallory asked, “Mommy why are you so worried about my recital?” Mommy just wanted to do the best she could, because Mallory deserves the best…The recital was at L.D. Bell High School…we took these pictures outside before the big show…
Mommy couldn’t help taking pictures of every detail because Mallory looked precious, and Mommy was so proud!
Mallory and Kayden…Beautiful Ballerinas…
Mommy was so excited to see her little girl on the big stage but had no idea what Mallory would do or think when it was time to perform. The dress rehearsal was at the Hurst recreation center not at the high school, so Mallory was not familiar with the big stage. Mommy was a little worried that Mallory might freeze up when the curtain opened, the lights shined, and the crowd watched, but she was FABULOUS!!!Mommy and Ms.Erin had to drop the girls off with the stage moms in the cafeteria. We sat in the auditorium waiting for our girls to dance; we were so nervous. We were laughing at each other because our hearts were pounding and our palms were sweaty…
“Broadway Baby,” the tap routine was first. This dance was Mallory’s favorite, and she knew it really well…
When we practiced this routine at home, Mallory would sing the words to the song. Check out her tongue…hilarious! When we asked her why she stuck out her tongue, she told us, “I didn’t know were y’all were.”
One part of the song says “greasy spoon,” and every time Mallory heard it, she would laugh. This picture is taken right after she heard it…she looked at Kayden, laughed and grinned…
I LOVE this picture…Pawpaw was on the front row with Mommy taking pictures…as soon as Mallory saw Pawpaw she got so excited and smiled so big…
Next, was her Ballet routine to “Pizzicatti”
So BEAUTIFUL…
Mallory and Kayden dancing together…
For the finale all the dancers came out on stage to bow…
Mallory gave Ms.Candace white roses and a big hug; Ms. Candace gave Mallory a pretty, orange daisy…
Mallory’s proud Daddy gave her a dozen pink roses…
Mallory had many fans in the audience…Mommy and Daddy…
Mimi and Granddad came, too, but had to leave right after the show…we wish we could have gotten Mallory’s picture with them…
Also, Ms. Sharon, Alainna, Sirius, Sirius’ grandma, and Mommy’s friend, Mel came to watch…
Striking a few last poses on stage before it was time to go…
What a wonderful night…Mallory knew her dances, wasn’t shy, and looked so beautiful…
