This morning, Mommy took Mallory to her BIG SISTER class! We have been talking a lot about what a great big sister she will be, and we have been reading books about it, too. Mallory says she is going to be a helper to Mommy and Daddy with her little sisters, and she was ready to go learn some more about being a big sister in her sibling class today!
Of course when you are going to be a big sister to twins, you have to bring your twin babies…
She looked so stinkin’ cute, and she was so excited!
Proud Mommy with the Proud Big Sister…
The class was at Las Colinas Medical Center…the hospital Mallory was born and where Mia and Madison will be born. On the way, Mallory asked, “Are we going to that doctor where I saw you get that slime on your belly?”
Ready to go have some fun!
The first thing we did was went around the room and all the big sisters and brothers told everyone their name, how old they are, and if they were having a brother or sister. Mallory was so proud when she got to say, “I’m Mallory, I’m four, and I am having TWO SISTERS!” Everybody got a big smile on their face. Mrs. B, our teacher, told Mallory how lucky she is to be getting two sisters. She also said it was too cute that Mallory brought her twin babies with her…
She listened so carefully to the teacher and the other big sisters and brothers…
Next, we went upstairs to Labor and Delivery. I showed Mallory the hall she was born on, and it made Mommy smile so big!! It brought back sweet, sweet memories! Mrs. B showed us a room that we will be in after Mia and Madison are born and where our family will make new, sweet memories! We all took a peak in the nursery, but there were no babies…they were all with their mommies…
We went back to the classroom and made t-shirts for our new babies. Mallory got to make two shirts, since we are having two babies!! Mallory asked mommy to write their names on the shirts, and she would do the rest…
Since everyone else was only making one shirt, they were done before Mallory. So, we will have to finish Mia’s at home. But, Madison’s turned out super cute!!
Next Mrs. B asked if anyone would like to be a helper…Mallory raised her hand up as high as she could. Mallory and another girl passed out the supplies for the next activity…
Mallory listening so carefully to the directions…
The kids got to stuff their own bear, dress them with the shirt they made, and put on a diaper…
Great job and all by herself!!! The teacher said Mallory could make two bears if she wanted, but Mommy thought one was enough. That was very sweet of her though…
Next, we watched a cute video about the baby coming home and what big sisters and brothers should and shouldn’t do, and what they can do to help…
After the video, Mrs. B. went over some of the important parts…
She had them practice holding the baby the right way…
Mrs. B asked the kids what might the babies be doing when you are holding them…Mallory answered, “Drinking milk!”
Mrs. B also said the babies will be too little at first to play, but as a big sister or brother you could sing to them. She asked if anyone knew a song they could sing to the baby…
Mallory raised her hand like a good student, Mrs. B. called on her and Mallory said, “Rock A Bye Baby.” Mrs. B asked if Mallory would sing it for us, and she did!!! She was so sweet and cute!!! Mallory had such a good time learning how to be a big sister!
Mommy was so proud of Mallory! Mallory did such a great job! She listened so well and participated in the discussions…she was awesome!!!
When we got home, Mallory was ready to finish Mia’s shirt…
Mia and Madison are going to be so lucky to have Mallory as their big sister!!!
